Alien Me, prologue

Nowadays I am sure autistic and other Special Need Education status are quite well known around the world. If you don't? Well... it's not part of 101 things you have to know to go through your daily life, feel free to go on with your wonderful life as long as you won't call any kid who spend half of his day spacing out, talking to himself and throwing tantrum as crazy.

No, seriously... me and the rest of SEN kids aren't off of our rockers. We're just different and special, so I'd like to think we're civilized alien invading you earthlings with our antics...
Where this line of thinking come from? Believe it or not, it's not some random inspiration I get when meditating. My parents call my meditation session as me wondering to lala land though, but you get the point, I hope.

I am design student in my last term, and as our final year project require designing a public space I thought why not a SEN school? So several calls and sob story thrown later, I got my client who is willing to let me wander around their school, meet my fellow alien and... researching for my project. It's a cool school with lots of space themed mural, there's no deep meaning behind it when I asked the head teacher. It was just some sort of thematic naming for class in that school.
Then I think... why don't I just use this as my design concept? So there goes me likening us SEN kids as alien learning in school how to get along with earthlings and invading your society.

I know children with physical and sensory impairment also part of SEN but in my research and my client's facility, our main target are alien... we looks like you, but our head is build a bit differently than you all...

The purpose of this blog? Well... my lecturer or therapist says we SEN kids tend to go for jobs that need our crazy imagination, and for me? That's writing and drawing... so yeah, I am here just to rant what goes inside my alien head. I also would like to speak out for my brethren and earthlings fortunate enough to be our parent.
